Welcome to The Citadel Summer Program in France

Bienvenue!

Our Summer Study in France program is directed by a member of the French faculty at The Citadel, in conjunction with professors from the Institut Linguistique du Peyrou at Montpellier, a large city on the French Riviera. Famous for its university (which dates from the Middle Ages), Montpellier attracts students from all over to its summer study/immersion programs—from Sweden, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, the U.S. and Canada, et al. Known as “the secret capital of France,” Montpellier is located only minutes from beautiful beaches and is a thriving and bustling city full of animation and vitality with many year-round social and cultural activities.
