Global Scholars Italy
The Citadel in Italy Program is hosted by the American University of Rome (AUR), home to a highly diverse student body representing over 40 countries. A recently conducted language survey found 28 native languages among AUR's faculty and students. Classes are conducted in English. AUR professors respect and draw from different points of view, ideas, and real-world experiences, enriching the dialogue within the classroom. Students from a wide range of academic majors can choose from a list of pre-approved courses that transfer back to The Citadel. Transfer credits do not affect GPAs, but students must complete their abroad courses with a C or higher to receive transfer credit. Academic disciplines offered at AUR include Visual and Performing Arts, Social Sciences, Literature, Natural Sciences, Modern Languages, Mathematics, Communications, International Studies, Hospitality and Tourism, Business Administration, and Political Science.
