Mr. Adrian E. LaTrace

adrian_latraceAs CEO, Adrian brings to Boyd Industries over 25 years of leadership experience in companies ranging from start-ups to large public corporations serving the healthcare, renewable energy and aerospace industries. His expertise in developing high performance organizations in world-class global operations has helped Boyd to build on past successes and position the company for the future as a market leader in the dental equipment industry.

He possesses a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry to include sales channel management, regulatory affairs, supply chain and operations. He served as Global Quality Assurance Director for Knowles Electronics, a designer and manufacturer of electro-mechanical components for the hearing health industry. Among his many accomplishments, he formed customer - Knowles product improvements teams collaborating on new product design to improve reliability and performance. These teams fostered strong customer relationships, reduced costs and accelerated design feedback. He was a founding member of AciesHealth, a startup company focused on commercializing new medical device technology focused on the wound care market. He established the company’s manufacturing network, fulfillment center, data infrastructure, financial systems and regulatory affairs program all compliant with FDA and customer standards.

Prior to acquiring Boyd, Adrian served as Chief Executive Officer of Mainstream Renewable Power North America responsible for a 1600 megawatt wind and solar development portfolio in the USA and Canada. Under his leadership, Mainstream expanded their wind power development pipeline through the acquisition of several wind power development assets in California and Canada. Before Mainstream, he was the Vice President/General Manager of Acciona Windpower North American responsible for the successful greenfield launch of Acciona’s wind turbine manufacturing, installation and service business. Under his leadership the company installed over 500MWs of wind power in the United States within the first 3 years of operation growing from inception to over $600M in revenues during this period. Earlier in his career, Adrian held senior operations positions with Gulfstream Aerospace, Hughes Aircraft Company and USRobotics. He is a US Air Force veteran having served as a Communications-Electronics Officer with assignments in the United States and Asia.

Adrian earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from The Citadel. He currently serves as an Executive Partner for Salt Creek Capital and sits on the advisory boards of The University of Iowa College of Engineering and the Florida Medical Manufacturers Consortium. He is married to Tedeana and has two grown children Elizabeth and Adrian Jr. (AJ).
