CGC biology major Pamela D. Corwin was presented with the Outstanding Graduate Student Award for outstanding academic achievement by a graduate student. Corwin, who is a biologist with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, has been lauded for her research on bird species and diversity in Lowcountry wetlands and old rice fields. Specifically she has examined how seasonal and ecological changes affect bird species.
"I am constantly amazed by students like Pamela," said Paul Nolan, associate professor of biology and Corwin's research advisor. "She has set the bar high for future students."
