Army ROTC LTC
The Leader's Training Course is four weeks of intense classroom and field training held in the summer at Fort Knox, KY. This course is an accelerated version of the two years of leadership development training and is substituted for the four basic courses (MLTY 101, MLTY 102, MLTY 201, and MLTY 202). Slots for LTC are limited. Undergraduate students should start the process during the first semester of sophomore year to ensure that they are eligible to earn a slot in the summer before they start their final four semesters in college. Graduate students should start the process at least 6 months before the summer ahead of their final four full-time semesters in college.
This program is mostly targeted for our Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, and graduate students. Upon LTC completion, students can contract to be an Officer in the Army, Army Reserve, or National Guard and will draw a monthly stipend of $450 dollars as a junior and $500 as a senior as well as be considered for any available scholarships.
