Genelle K. Sawyer, Ph.D is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology. She joined the faculty in 2009 after completing a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her research and teaching interests include child maltreatment, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and the development and dissemination of evidence-based treatments. Dr. Sawyer teaches courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level within the Department of Psychology. Dr. Sawyer is a licensed clinical psychologist.
