Korean War
Floyd O’Neil, ’48, was serving the United States as a member of the Air Force on March 4, 1952, when his F-51 was shot down over North Korea.
He was reported missing in action and was repatriated September 6, 1953.
His observations on the experience 50 years later: "I never buy anything that is made in China."
O'Neal lives in Augusta, Ga.
