Admission Requirements

Admission requirements for students applying to take courses offered in The Citadel Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) are as follows:

Master's of Science in Project Management Applicants

  1. Completion of a graduate application form, along with the appropriate non-refundable application fee, to The Citadel Graduate College (CGC), Bond Hall Room 101.

  2. An official transcript of the baccalaureate degree, and all other undergraduate or graduate academic course work, from each accredited college or university, recognized by CHE must be submitted directly to The Citadel Graduate College.

  3. Submission of official copy of GRE or GMAT test score, obtained within the previous five years, to the CGC Office.

  4. Evidence of a minimum of one year of professional experience, or permission from Department Head.

  5. Submit two letters of reference to the CGC office.

  6. Submit a resume detailing previous work.

  7. Prepare and submit a statement of purpose.

  8. Submission of an official TOEFL score if the applicant’s native language is not English. The minimum score is 550 paper-based or 213 computer-based or 79 internet-based.

Technical Project Management & Systems Engineering Management Applicants 

  1. Complete and return a graduate application form, along with appropriate non-refundable application fee, to The Citadel Graduate College (CGC), Bond Hall Room 101.

  2. An official transcript of the baccalaureate degree and all other undergraduate or graduate work directly from each accredited college or university attended. 
  3.  Submit a resume detailing work experience.

  4. Submit a one-page letter of intent that provides concise, complete answers to the following questions:

    1. How has your experience prepared you for the TPM or SEM graduate courses?
    2. How will your knowledge, skills, and attitudes contribute to the TPM or SEM program's learning community?
    3. What do you hope to gain from the TPMor SEM graduate program?
  5.  Evidence of a minimum of one year work experience, or permission of Department Head.

All material must be received by the CGC office to receive consideration to the TPM or SEM graduate program. An undergraduate engineering degree is not required.

Admission Deadlines

All material must be received by The Citadel Graduate College (CGC) Office on or before the following dates to assure consideration to the MSPM program.

Fall: We are currently still accepting applications for Fall 2014!
Spring: December 1
Summer: March 1
