The work order system and work order processing have been refined and continuing improvements are being made. These improvements will have a beneficial impact on our ability to deliver dependable and quality services.

Work order is a term frequently used in the facilities industry. It transforms a request for service into an action document for evaluating and completing the requested work. Work orders at the Physical Plant are created in a web-based work order system known as WebTMA. This system is used to track the progress of work orders from "customer request" through completion.

When placing a work request, you will need to provide the following information:

  1. Your NAME.
  2. Your TELEPHONE NUMBER.
  3. Your E-MAIL ADDRESS
  4. BUILDING NAME
  5. FLOOR
  6. ROOM #
  7. A description of your request in sufficient detail (ACTION REQUESTED). PLEASE PROVIDE ACCOUNT NUMBER(S) when applicable to the work to be performed.
IMPORTANT

NO LOG-IN OR PASSWORD IS NECESSARY with WebTMA.

You will receive status updates on your work request via e-mail.

If you have difficulty accessing the system please contact Jonathan Lewellyn ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , 953-1854) for assistance.

Work orders are prioritized in two categories based upon the information supplied by you:

  • PRIORITY -- Normal
    • Requests involving routine work that can be scheduled such as normal maintenance and repairs, equipment upgrades and upgrades of building appurtenances.
  • PRIORITY -- High - Property damage, imminent property damage and life threatening
    • Fire, smoke or smell of smoke
Gas leaks or smell of gas leaks
      Flood broken pipes
Broken windows, doors, locks in barracks
      Overflowing toilets
No air conditioning or heat in rooms with sensitive equipment or research.
      No lights, power or water
Elevator "stuck" with someone on board
  • CALL THE PPLT IMMEDIATELY with any HIGH PRIORITY requests at 953-5093.
