Changes coming to Johnson HagoodThe arrival of Coach Kevin Higgins as head football coach is just one of many reasons that Bulldog fans have to be excited. By the time the 2006 football season arrives, fans will have new permanent seating back on the east side. And even though Johnson Hagood Stadium will be in a transition phase for the coming season, fans can look forward to a new video scoreboard – part of a 10-year contract with Daktronics to provide scoreboards for Johnson Hagood Stadium and McAlister Field House and to manage athletic sponsorship opportunities.

The next phase of Johnson Hagood stadium will be construction of a tower supported by the west stands. The tower will include the new press box, suites and other amenities. The Citadel is currently exploring the possibility of sharing space and costs of the tower project with the South Carolina National Guard. Current topics for discussion include the space and cost requirements that are specific to the SCNG and the timeline for completing the project.
