Complete Parents' Weekend scheduled of events


Knob Families Invited To Drop In          

           Parents' Weekend is an exciting time for all members of The Citadel family. It's an extra special time for knobs' parents, who get to see their sons and daughters perhaps for the first time since dropping them off in August.

Parking
Parking is available at Johnson Hagood Stadium and near the City Gym on Hagood Avenue. Please do not park on either side of the alumni center (employee parking) or near the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Building adjacent to the alumni center.

        To welcome the parents of freshman to The Citadel family, join us anytime between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22 at the Holliday Alumni Center on Hagood Avenue across from the football stadium.

           In addition to some refreshments, members of the faculty and staff will be on hand to answer your questions about The Citadel and knob year, and the Charleston Visitors Bureau will be here to answer your questions about places to go and things to do when you are in town. There also will be a special video and slide presentation.

           Unfortunately, due to other commitments, your knob may not be able to join you at this drop-in unless he or she has free time. But after the drop in, walk to Summerall Field to watch him or her and the rest of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets in the Friday military dress parade. It starts at 3:45 p.m.

          No tickets are required. We just ask that you RSVP if you plan to come by the drop-in so we can provide adequate refreshments. You do not have to RSVP to attend Parents' Weekend.
