| For Release Engineering students' robot places in Southeast competition
A team of electrical and computer engineering cadets placed 7th in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Southeastern Section autonomous robotics competition held at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. April 9, 2005. The prestigious competition attracted 37 engineering colleges and universities from across the Southeast. Students were challenged to design an autonomous robot, one that thinks for itself. Robots had to move across a playing surface, remove steel balls recessed in the surface and return home. The Citadel team was composed of Cadets Bruce Bailey, Jesse Howard, Tom Olney and Chris Ruffalo. -end-
