of Art Show at The Citadel's Daniel Library
The works of Chemistry of Art cadets are on display today through May 6 at The Daniel Library on The Citadel campus.
Associate chemistry professor Suzanne T. Mabrouk's course entitled "Applied Current Topics in Chemistry" addresses the preparation of artists' materials and artwork and the authentication and conservation of art and artifacts.
The art show includes ceramics, drawings with handmade crayons, handmade paper, marbled paper, monochromatic pictures (cyanotype, pinhole, and van dyke), and silk painted with fiber-reactive dyes. The show features the work of cadets Melissa Fridinger, Norman Leach, Sermpun Lhamlhak, Joe Moore and Christopher Morrow.
