The Citadel is pleased to announce the winners of the Third Annual Citadel Undergraduate Research Conference. Cadet Matt Verdin came in first place for his research entitled “Generation and Identification of RGR-/- RPE65-/- Double Knockout Mice.” Cadet John Speck won second place honors for “In Silico Analysis of the Salamander Green Rod/Blue Cone Promoter,” and Joe Hoerl won third place for “Practical Uses of Robot Autonomy and Survivability.” There were
22 projects entered in this year’s conference, representing six
disciplines—biology, chemistry, computer science, electrical engineering,
physics, and psychology. The research competition is an annual highlight
of the Corps Day Weekend festivities. -end- |
