Complete schedule of Parents' Weekend events

Knob Families Invited To Drop In

Parents' Weekend is an exciting time for all members of The Citadel family. It's an extra special time for knobs' parents, who get to see their sons and daughters perhaps for the first time since dropping them off in August.

LOCATION CHANGE
Due to overwhelming response we have to move to a larger venue. Join us at the Holliday Alumni Center on Hagood Avenue across from the football stadium - just one block from the Hagood Gate.

Please note: You do not have to RSVP to attend Parents' Weekend. RSVP only if you plan to come to the drop in at any point between 1:45 and 3:30 p.m.

Parking
Parking is available at Johnson Hagood Stadium (south end too) and near the City Gym on Hagood Avenue. Please do not park on either side of the alumni center (employee parking) or near the Corps of Engineers Building south adjacent to the alumni center.

To welcome the parents of freshman to The Citadel family, join us anytime between 1:45 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3 at the Holliday Alumni Center on Hagood Avenue across from the football stadium.

In addition to some refreshments, cadets and members of the faculty and staff will be on hand to answer your questions about The Citadel and knob year, and the Charleston Visitors Bureau will be here to answer your questions about places to go and things to do when you are in town.

There also will be a special video and slide presentation so you can see what your child has experienced so far in his or her knob year. If your child has free time, tell them to stop by too.

After the drop in, walk to Summerall Field to watch the Friday parade of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets, which begins at 3:45 p.m.

We ask that you RSVP if you plan to come by the drop-in only so we can provide adequate refreshments. You do not have to RSVP to attend Parents' Weekend.
