The National Executive Committee designated 23 of the 516 chapters nationwide as Honor Chapters. The Citadel's chapter was ranked No. 2 in the country (surpassed only by Brigham Young University, which won top honors). Student members of Tau Iota during 2002-03 school year were Paul Swaim (president) of Nicholasville, Ky.; Joshua L. Robinson (vice president) of Hollywood, S.C.; David Ponce (secretary-treasurer) of Burton, S.C.; Jonathan Doiron of Bedford, Texas; Peter Driscoll of Beallsville, Md.; Thomas S. Forster of Rock Hill, S.C.; Michael Glenn of Troutdale, Ore.; Curtis J. Green of Dardanelle, Ark.; Garrison Groh of Medina, Ohio; James Hill of Georgetown, S.C.; Peter Jodko of Glastonbury, Conn.; Rodolfo López of Cypress, Texas; Robert Manos of West Columbia, S.C.; Brett Paduch of Johnson City, Tenn.; and David Rodriguez of Penrose, Colo. Faculty advisors are professors Maria Rippon and Mark P. Del Mastro.
