The Citadel's Friday parade cancelled

          Because of inclement weather this week, The Citadel administration has cancelled Friday's formal parade on Summerall Field.

          Instead, cadets will use the time, beginning at 3:45 p.m., to receive instruction on how to perform at parade.

          Parade practice is typically held each Thursday before parade. However, rain this week has forced the cancellation of the first parade practice of the 2002-2003 academic year.

          The formal parade schedule resumes at 4:20 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6.
