New Bridge Lighting Causes Pollution
The Citadel Physics Department will present a seminar on the hazards of light pollution, concentrating on the floodlights that will be mounted onto the new Cooper River bridge. The seminar will take place at 6:40 p.m., Nov. 12, 2002 at The Citadel in Graham Copeland Auditorium, Grimsley Hall, Room 117.
Dr. Terry Richardson of the College of Charleston’s Department of Physics and Astronomy will explain what light pollution is, how it affects us and what can be done about it. Richardson will also discuss alternatives to light pollution.
