Release Retired Lt. Gen. Frank Libutti will speak to Corps of Cadets Lt.
Gen. Frank Libutti, United States Marine Corps retired, will address the
South Carolina Corps of Cadets at Libutti is currently the New York City Police Department's Deputy Commissioner of Counter Terrorism. He will discuss leadership and ethics as part of The Citadel's Greater Issues Series, the premier lecture series at The Military College of South Carolina. Since
it was established in 1954, the Greater Issues Series has brought presidents,
heads of state, scholars, diplomats, journalists and distinguished business
and military leaders to All Greater Issues speeches are free and open to the public. Libutti
is a 1966 graduate of The Citadel. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps
for 35 years before retiring in 2001. After his retirement, Libutti was
named Special Assistant for Homeland Security by President George Bush
and was responsible for developing and executing a strategy to strengthen
