Nationally known business futurist to speak

11 a.m.

Friday, October 12

Jenkins Hall Auditorium

The Citadel

Senior research fellow and director of the Harvard Business School Life Science Project Juan Enriquez will speak on "technology and the future of nations" at The Citadel. The talk is open to the public.

Enriquez, who is nationally known as a business futurist, linking business, technology, and politics together, is author of the soon-to-be-published and much-anticipated "As the Future Catches You: How Genomics and Other Forces are Changing Your Life, Work, Heath and Wealth." He received a McKinsey Prize (second place) in 2000, and in 2001 his work was identified as one of the breakthrough ideas in the first edition of the annual Harvard Business Review List.

Enriquez comes to The Citadel at the invitation of former Ambassador Philip Lader, who serves as the John C. West Professor of Government and International Relations.

Media interested in interviewing Enriquez before the talk should contact the Public Affairs Office at 843-953-6779 or 843-953-7842 as soon as possible.
