The Citadel will celebrate the 156th anniversary of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets during the Corps Day Weekend, March 18 through March 21.
Corps Day Weekend, one of the most highly attended Citadel attractions, will feature a cadet talent show, dress parades, the presentation of the Palmetto Medal Awards, and a free concert by The Citadel Regimental Band and Pipe Band at Hampton Park.
The Corps Day tradition began with the schools inception
in 1843 when the first twenty cadets reported for class at the
Old Citadel on Marion Square in downtown Charleston.
Highlights of The Citadels Corps Day include the following

Corps Day Hop
Saturday 20, 8:45 a.m. Four barracks and facilities will be open to visitors. Citadel Pipe Band will perform at each . Barracks will close at 10:00 a.m.
Saturday 20, 9:00 a.m. Summerall Field
Summerall Guards and Bond Volunteers performance. The 1999 Summerall
Guards will transfer their 1903 Springfield rifles to rising seniors
selected to compose the 2000 Summerall Guards.
