INN OF COURT RETURNS FROM NATIONAL COMPETITION WITH TROPHY
CHARLESTON, S.C., March 30-The Citadel Inn of Court Mock Trial team returned from the Silver National Intercollegiate Mock Trial Tournament with a tenth place trophy. The tournament consisted of four rounds of competition among teams of six to eight students who played the roles of attorneys and wit- nesses in a simulated court case.
Two hundred and sixty teams throughout the country competed regionally to qualify for the national competition which took place March 20-22 in St. Paul, Minnesota on the campus of Hamline University.
Cadet Mason Harlow received team honors and an award for outstanding witness.
The Citadel Inn of Court was founded in 1981 by Colonel Edward F.J. Tucker, associate professor of English at The Citadel. It is a pre-law society modeled upon the four great British residential law schools or "Inns" associated with the Westminster Court that were established by King Edward I in 1292.
