CHARLESTON, S.C., Jan. 17.--The President of The Citadel will be a guest reader in Sangaree Elementary School's "Books and Beyond" reading series.

     Lt. Gen. Claudius E. Watts III will participate in the school's effort to promote literacy through local celebrity involvement.

     He will read to a group of more than 20 school children at 9 a.m. at Sangaree Elementary on Friday, Jan. 19. The reading will be videotaped and played back for a larger audience later in the year.
