CHARLESTON, S.C. (April 11)--Cadet Jason M. Barnes of Manhattan Beach, Calif., has been selected to receive the George C. Marshall ROTC Award at The Citadel. The award is presented annually to the highest-ranking cadet in each of the U.S. Army's ROTC detachments.
As an awardee, Cadet Barnes will participate in a national security seminar at Virginia Military Institute April 15-18. Additionally, Cadet Barnes will receive an award certificate and the complete four-volume biography of General of the Army George C. Marshall.
Barnes is the son of Steve and Paula Barnes of 3rd Street in Manhattan Beach.
