CHARLESTON, S.C.(Mar. 2)--Maj. Conway F. Saylor, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology at The Citadel, will be a special guest on nationally syndicated radio program, "The Parent's Journal with Bobbi Conner." Saylor's three-part segment will air locally on WTMZ Talk Radio, AM 910, at 8 a.m., Mar. 11, 18 and 25.
Saylor will discuss with Bobbi Conner, the issues associated with child development and what children need from their parents during the developmental stages. Saylor will present practical examples for parents who have children in their infancy, toddler-hood and pre-school stages.
"The Parents Journal with Bobbi Conner," airs on public radio 52 weeks a year and is currently carried by more than 100 stations coast to coast. The program is designed to help parents, grandparents and others who care for and about children understand how children develop intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.
Maj. Saylor holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Virginia Tech and is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in South Carolina. She has
taught at the Medical University of South Carolina and has held posts at Virginia Treatment Center for Children in Richmond, and Children's Memorial
Hospital in Chicago. A prolific writer, she is the author of the book, Children and Disasters and numerous other publications. Saylor is also a member of
editorial boards for several psychological journals.
