
CHARLESTON, S.C.,(Apr. 12)--Mr. T. Graham Edwards, president and chief executive officer of the South Carolina Public Service Authority (Santee Cooper), will serve as the commencement speaker for students of The Citadel's College of Graduate and Professional Studies at 8 p.m. May 10, in Summerall Chapel. Approximately 96 graduate degrees and 20 undergraduate degrees will be awarded.
Edwards joined the South Carolina Public Service Authority in 1977 after receiving a master of business administration degree from The Citadel in 1976. As president and CEO, Edwards provides overall direction and management at the South Carolina Public Service Authority. Previously, Edwards was executive vice president for administration and finance, and provided direction for accounting, treasury, administration, management information systems and corporate forecasting and marketing operations.
Active in community and civic affairs, Edwards is a member of the
board of directors for the United Way; director of the Berkeley Chapter for the
American Cancer Society; and director and chairman of Junior Achievement for
Greater Charleston. Edwards also serves on the Berkeley County Economic
Development Board, Berkeley County Museum Board and the Advisory Board of
Berkeley Roper Center.
