The Citadel will host a Conference on the South from April 6-8. A panel of distinguished historians from across the United States will discuss a variety of topics in the history of the American South from the colonial era to the present. The panel sessions of the conference are free and open to the public. Charleston county public school teachers can receive in-service credit for attendance. For a schedule of panel events, check out the website (broken link to citadel.edu/south) or call the department of history at 953-5073.
This program is funded in part by the South Carolina Humanities Council, a state division of the National Endowment for the Humanities and by a grant from The Citadel Development Foundation.
