Chicken Soup Author Speaks at Citadel

          John Gardner, who has interviewed some of the nation's foremost entrepreneurs and who is co-author of the upcoming Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneurial Soul (from the top-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul series), will speak at 6:30 p.m., March 1, in Mark Clark Hall Auditorium on The Citadel campus. His speech, entitled "The Digital Renaissance-Lessons from the World's Greatest Entrepreneurs," will last approximately 30 minutes followed by a question and answer period and a book signing. The public is invited to attend; there is no cost.

          A resident of Darlington, S.C., Gardner spent more than twenty years as an attorney in S.C. He served eight years in the South Carolina General Assembly and served on the Department of Highways and Public Transportation Commission. He and business partner, Tom Hill, founded The Eagle Institute to provide education in leadership to business professionals. Gardner is also co-author of Living at the Summit-A Novel Approach to an Exceptional Life.

          The March 1 presentation by Gardner marks the first in the Distinguished Speakers in Entrepreneurship Series at The Citadel.
