Graduate College at The Citadel Schedules Open House

Department heads and key officials of The Citadel’s College of Graduate and Professional Studies will meet with prospective graduate students at an open house set for Wednesday, October 13.

The Citadel offers master’s and educational specialist degrees in education, including teaching areas and the Lowcountry's only programs in educational leadership and school counseling; and master's degrees in English; history, psychology and business. Several majors are offered by the education department, and The Citadel’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) is the Lowcountry’s only nationally accredited MBA program and can be completed in two years.

The College of Graduate and Professional Studies, begun in 1966 as the Evening College, has more than 5,500 graduates, 3,500 hundred of whom are women. The graduate program is conducted in a civilian atmosphere, but uses the same faculty members who instruct the Corps of Cadets in The Citadel’s daytime, military program. Dr. David H. Reilly serves as dean of the graduate college.

The Open House is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in Bond Hall, room 165. Further information concerning graduate programs at The Citadel is available on the college’s website (www.citadel.edu) or by calling 953-5089.
