Pianist Susan Frances Sobolewski
Susan Frances Sobolewski, solo pianist and chamber musician, will perform Tuesday, September 22 at 7 p.m. in Mark Clark Auditorium. This is the first event in the year-long Citadel Fine Arts Series program.
The New York-based artist trained at the Oberlin Conservatory and the Eastman School of Music. She currently serves on the faculty at Nassau College. Her active performing career has attracted rave reviews, both at home as well as abroad. Vladimier Feltsman called her, "a sensitive musician who is very imaginative in her music-making" and hailed her as "undoubtedly one of the finest young pianists."
Sobolewski appears regularly on recital series at many colleges and universities. Some of her recent solo appearances include recitals at Carnegie Recital Hall, Merkin Hall, and the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the Lincoln Center.
