PARENTS DAY WEEKEND AT THE CITADEL
Family
members from throughout the country will come to Charleston this
week to visit their sons and daughters during the annual Parents
Weekend festivities at The Citadel. The public is invited to the
following events.
Friday, 9 October
3:45 p.m. Dress parade, Summerall Field
5:00 p.m. The Citadel Chorale, Summerall Chapel
Saturday, 10 October
8:45-10:00 a.m. The four Citadel barracks and other buildings and facilities will be open to the public. The Citadel Pipe Band will perform in each of the barracks during the visitation period.
9:00 a.m. Freshman Squad Drill Competition held on the quadrangle of Padgett-Thomas Barracks.
9:30 a.m. The Regimental Band will conduct a concert on Summerall Field.
11:00 a.m. Dress parade on Summerall Field in honor
of visiting parents and grandparents of cadets.
Lunch will be available at noon on Saturday in Coward Hall and Deas Hall. Meal and football tickets can be purchased at the information center in Mark Clark Hall auditorium from 12:30 to 3:30 Friday afternoon and from 8:00 to 11:00 Saturday morning.
The Citadel Bulldogs will take on East Tennessee State at 2:00 p.m. in Johnson Hagood Stadium. The 1999 Summerall Guards, the elite precision drill platoon, will perform during the half-time show.

Weekend will conclude on Sunday with four worship services.
