More
than 3,000 alumni will return to The Citadel for their homecoming
reunion November 5-8. Highlights of the weekend will include a
performance by the Summerall Guards, open barracks, a chapel concert
series featuring The Citadel chorale, and a football game against
UT-Chattanooga.
Thursday, November 5th
7:00 p.m. Pep Rally and Bonfire: WLI Field.
7:15 p.m. Basketball Exhibition, Cross Fire AAU: McAlister Field
House.
Friday, November 6th
8:00 a.m. Brigadier Foundations Breakfast Meeting with Coach Don
Powers: Johnson Hagood Stadium.
8:00 a.m. Captains Choice Alumni Golf Match ($60 per person):
Patriots Point Golf Course.
Noon Luncheon ($5) and Annual Meeting for members of The Citadel
Alumni Association: Riverview Room, Coward Hall.
1:30 p.m. Alumni Information Center, sale of luncheon and football
tickets and mementos: Mark Clark Hall Auditorium.
3:45 p.m. Retreat Parade: Summerall Field.
5:00 p.m. Chapel Concert Series featuring The Citadel Chorale:
Summerall Chapel.
9:00 p.m. Homecoming Hop, featuring East Coast Party Band: Mark
Clark Hall Auditorium. Semi-formal.
Saturday, November 7th
8:00 a.m. Annual Breakfast for Past Presidents, The Citadel Alumni
Association: Alumni House.
8:00 a.m. Alumni Tennis Tournament: Bunch Courts.
8:30 a.m. Alumni Information Center, visitors coffee, sale of
luncheon and football tickets and mementos: Mark Clark Hall Auditorium.
8:30 a.m. Citadel Information Desk open: Bond Hall Lobby.
8:30 a.m. Gen. William W. Hartzog Army ROTC Scholarship Dedication:
Jenkins Hall.
8:45 a.m. Barracks, other buildings and facilities open to visitors;
closed at 10:00 a.m. The Pipe Band will play in all barracks.
9:00 a.m. Himelright Scholarship Presentation: LeTellier Hall.
9:00 a.m. The Citadel Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony:
McAlister Field House.
9:30 a.m. Summerall Guards Performance: Summerall Field.
10:00 a. m. Annual Alumni Muster: Summerall Chapel.
11:00 a.m. Homecoming Review: Summerall Field. All alumni to take
review.
Noon Dedication of the Regimental Commanders Room: Coward Hall,
second floor.
Noon Open House (Noon - 6:00 p.m.) and BBQ Lunch (Noon - 2:00
p.m.): Alumni Center (across from stadium) and Alumni House.
Noon Lunch ($5.50): Coward Hall.
2:00 p.m. Football game: Chattanooga vs. The Citadel. Half time
includes recognition of the Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees and
a performance by the Regimental Band and Pipes.
Sunday, November 8th
9:00 a.m. Protestant Worship: Summerall Chapel.
10:00 a.m. Post-Chapel Reception: Mark Clark Hall Patio and Reception
Room.
Noon Catholic Mass: Summerall Chapel.
