CHARLESTON, S.C., Nov. 11.--On Friday November 14, from 4:45 until 6:00 p.m., The Citadel Gospel Choir will sing in the Greater Issues Room in Mark Clark Hall on The Citadel campus.

The performance will begin after a ceremony in tribute to the late Ronald "Bulldog" Gilliard, a 1982 Citadel graduate for whom a scholarship fund has been named. Gilliard, who passed away seven years ago while running in a ten mile Army race in Washington, D.C., is well remembered by his classmates for his fun-loving personality and the enthusiastic way in which he lived his life.

The Citadel Brigadier Foundation's goal is to raise $300,000 during a five year period. The scholarship will focus on African American students from the Charleston area.
