CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept 19)--The Citadel will host its annual Career Fair on Friday, Sept. 29, from 8 am to 2:30 pm. Over 75 representatives from more than 50 private businesses and government agencies will be on hand. Recruiters will set up display tables on the patio and lawn of Mark Clark Hall. The organizations participating in this year's Fair represent careers in banking, finance, law enforcement, sales, public service, and medicine, among other fields.
The Career Fair is open to anyone affiliated with The Citadel, including evening college students, cadets, and staff.
With a 25 percent increase in employer participation over last year, the Fair on Friday will be the largest since Career Services began the event in 1983. Brent Stewart, Director of The Citadel's Career Services, attributes the increase to "an aggressive development effort" by The Citadel and the attractiveness of Citadel applicants.
Organizations represented include Charleston County Government,
Datastream, First Union, Milliken, Greenville Sheriff's Office, MUSC, and
Systems Computer Technology Corporation.
