CHARLESTON, S.C. (Sept 12)--The U.S. Air Force Heritage Brass Quintet will perform Sept. 21 in The Citadel's Mark Clark Hall Auditorium.
The Quintet's repertoire spans 350 years and includes a wide variety of chamber works, as well as popular and patriotic pieces. The audience can expect to hear everything from Bach and Handel to "Fats" Waller and "Jelly Roll" Morton. Comprised of two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba, the Brass Quintet is part of the larger Air Combat Command Heritage of America Band, a 60-member band based at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia.
The Quintet's Citadel performance begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
