The Citadel welcomes new and returning faculty
This fall, The Citadel welcomes 11 new faculty members and two visiting professors to its ranks while nine have returned from sabbaticals and several others have earned tenure and promotions.

Classes got under way on Aug. 26.
The Citadel is a teaching college with a student faculty ratio of 15 to 1 with highly qualified faculty teaching all classes. Around 90 percent of faculty members hold doctorates or the highest degree in their specialty.
