The Citadel is a teaching college with a student-faculty ratio of 15 to 1 with highly qualified faculty teaching all classes. Around 90 percent of faculty members hold doctorates or the highest degree in their specialty.

“We are really excited to be adding an exceptionally strong group of new faculty members to an already distinguished faculty,” said Samuel M. Hines, Jr., provost and dean of the college.

“As stewards of our mission of developing principled leaders, these new faculty represent the future of The Citadel in much the same way as our new freshmen, the Class of 2012,” Hines said.
