Helmut Schmidt Exchange

Helmut-Schmidt University of the Armed Forces in Hamburg, Germany partners with The Citadel to allow students to experience a semester of education at an international military academy. Each year The Citadel welcomes German students to our campus as our students participate in a study abroad program at their university overseas.

•To participate in this Exchange Program students must be nominated by the Department of Modern Languages based on their ability to speak the German language.

•Helmut-Schmidt is on a trimester system so students will have to get course approvals based on the number of terms they will be enrolled at Helmut-Schmidt. cadets can receive 12-15 hours for attending two trimesters in the spring.
