Independent Programs
Students may study for a semester, year or summer on any one of hundreds of independent programs offered in countries all over the world such as England, Ireland, Italy, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, Africa and Spain. These programs offer students a diverse curriculum from which to choose as well as personal and academic support while they are abroad. Independent programs are fully accredited programs offered through study abroad companies or other universities and are endorsed by The Citadel. If you are interested on a program that is not on our list please contact our office and we will look into the program and determine if it is appropriate.
Cadet Kyle Taylor recently studied abroad in Australia. He studied sustainable engineering through Globalinks Australia. (Pictured also is Cadet Wei-Ming Chiu, who completed the same program).
Staff Sergeant Jason Murphy recently studied abroad in Costa Rica. He studied Spanish courses in culture, civilization, and literature at La Academia de Espanol D' Amore
Cadet Erin Bucherl recently studied abroad in Dresden, Germany. She studied German at the Goethe Institute in Dresden.
