Honoring the 150th Anniversary of The Emancipation Proclamation

Photo: Former Slave Sally Fickland views the Emancipation Proclamation in 1947. The National Archives (Washington, D.C.) will honor the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation this year with free, special display of the original document and other programs throughout 2013.
