Jason Howison

Assistant Professor

Dr. Howison obtained his Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from the University of Tennessee. In his dissertation, he developed a computational aeroelastic model for the stability of wind turbine blades. Before returning to school, he worked in industry as a solid rocket ballistic analyst. His active areas of research include computational fluid dynamics and turbulence modeling. Dr. Howison is a registered professional engineer in South Carolina. He teaches courses in the thermal/fluids sequence as well as aerospace related technical electives and introductory engineering courses.
