Junior Leadership Day Requirement
Junior Ethics Enrichment Experience (JEEE)
The Junior Ethics Enrichment Experience is comprised of a one-day Ethical Finess Seminar (EFS) designed to promote ethical culture, a luncheon or dinner with a distinguished ethics speaker, and a follow-on ethics essay recorded in each cadet's eLeadership Portfolio. The seminar is based on Dr. Rushworth Kidder's landmark book, How Good People Make Tough Choices and is delivered by Citadel faculty and staff who are trained, certified, and licensed by The Institute for Global Ethics. Topics include recognizing why ethics matter, understanding trust, tasking leadership with trust, defining ethical values, and analyzing and resolving ethical dilemmas.
In 2013 the JEEE will occur on October 23th. Every Junior is automatically registered for this seminar. Juniors can view their JEEE instructor's name by logging on to Lesene Gateway and viewing their registered classes. The room assignments by JEEE instructor are listed below. The seminar is from 0800-1600. Completion of the Junior Ethics Enrichment Experience is a graduation requirement which is fulfilled by attending the entire seminar and submitting an Ethical Reasoning Essay to the cadet's eLeadership Portfolio.
