Greater Issues Address: Keller Kissam

Senior Vice President of SCANA W. Keller Kissam gave a Greater Issues address to the Corps of Cadets on Tuesday, Nov. 13, in McAlister Field House.

Kissam, who joined SCANA in 1988, has served in many roles of the company, including vice president of South Carolina Pipeline Corporation, vice president of SCE&G gas operations and vice president of SCE&G electric operations.

Kissam is currently president of the South Carolina Independent School Association. He has served on many other academic and public boards, including the Hammond School, Senior Resources, Clemson University Board of Visitors and Carolina Children’s Hospital. Kissam has also served as a Sunday school teacher at Shandon United Methodist Church for 15 years and has chaired the United Way and March of Dimes SCANA campaigns.

A 1988 graduate of The Citadel, Kissam served as the regimental commander of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets. He is most recently a recipient of the Order of the Palmetto and is currently a member of The Citadel Hall of Fame Committee and the Former Regimental Commanders’ Association.

The Greater Issues Series was founded in 1954 to engage cadets’ interest and knowledge in important topics of the day. Since it was established, the series has brought presidents, heads of state, scholars, diplomats, journalists and distinguished business and military leaders to Charleston and The Citadel. The Greater Issues Series is made possible by a grant from The Mills B. Lane Memorial Foundation.
