Navy helicopter Squadron HS-7 to visit Navy Battalion

Commander Michael Sheahan, Executive Officer of HS-7 based at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, will visit the Navy ROTC detachment at The Citadel on Thursday, Sept. 21.

Helicopter Antisubmarine Squadron SEVEN (HS-7) is one of five East Coast operational fleet helicopter squadrons tasked with anti-submarine warfare (ASW), search and rescue, airborne utility services, and combat search and rescue. HS 7 flies the SH-60F and HH-60H, both single main rotor, twin turbine powered helicopters.

Sheahan, Citadel Class of 1989, will be flying in with his crew aboard an SH-60 Seahawk helicopter. They are scheduled to land on Summerall Field around noon.
