Summer Study
Each year, The Citadel selects eighteen students or more to receive summer stipends supporting an educational experience, domestic or foreign, which will prepare them to compete for a post-graduate scholarship or fellowship as well as for admission to a competitive post-graduate degree program. The Honors Program works with the Director of the Office of Fellowships to identify these students and to help them develop summer study scholarship applications.
Supported by these scholarships, Citadel students have studied dentistry through an internship in Germany, history at the University of Cambridge in England, engineering through an internship in Australia, herbal medicine in Indonesia, economics at the London School of Economics, astronomy at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory in Canada, and art history at Yale University.
