Captain Christopher Sole, Ph.D, CSCS

Dr. Sole is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Health, Exercise, and Sport Science. His primary research interests include training monitoring, biomechanical analysis of resistance training exercise, adaptation to strength and power training, and relationships between training, performance, and injury in sport. Prior to The Citadel, he earned a PhD in Sport Physiology and Performance from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). While at ETSU, Dr. Sole worked as a sport scientist and strength and conditioning coach within the university’s Center of Excellence for Sport Science and Coach Education/U.S. Olympic Training Site. Dr. Sole has been a member of The Citadel faculty since 2015.
