Banner Maintenance

Banner will be undergoing maintenance on Wednesday May 20th from 5:00pm - 9:00pm. Banner INB will be unavailable from 5:00pm until 5:30pm during this window. No other systems should be affected.

Citadel Systems Outage

 

The Citadel is currently experiencing an outage with one of its Internet Service Providers ("ISP").  ITS is in contact with the ISP and they are working to resolve the outage as quickly as possible.  Updates will be posted here as necessary.  [Posted 1:50pm on 4/25/15.]

 

 

 

 

 


WIFI access on campus has been restored.


The outage is causing a disruption of the following services:

* Access to on-campus resources from the VPN.

* Access to Citadel Systems from on-campus.

Not affected:

* Access to public-facing Citadel systems normally available from off-campus without VPN access.

* Access to the Internet from on-campus.

 

* WIFI service on-campus.

Citadel Faculty/Staff Email Outage

Citadel Faculty/Staff email on Office 365 is currently experiencing problems with Inbound email from students, campus systems (Banner, Cognos, Cadet System, etc.) and external users.

Mail sending to students, external users and internally to other Faculty/Staff at Office 365 is not affected. 

ITS is working with the email support vendor to resolve the problem and will post updates as applicable.  [Posted 5:45pm on 4/17/15].

Banner down

Access to The Citadel's Banner System is currently unavailable to users from on-campus, but is available if you are off-campus.  ITS is working to resolve the issue and will post updates as necessary.  Posted 3/30/15 @ 4:28pm.

Bill payment unavailable

Payments via the "Manage Money & Make Payments" channel on the Student tab, and payment of application fees, are temporarily unavailable. An update will be posted when the payment capability has been restored. (Bill payment is back up as of 10:52 pm on Thursday March 12, 2015.)

Lesesne Gateway outage Thursday, March 12th at 6:00pm EST

The Lesesne Gateway portal will be down for maintenance for up to one hour starting at 6:00 pm EST on Thursday, March 12th, in order to connect the portal to new Banner application servers.

During maintenance, Lesesne Gateway will redirect to http://www.bulldogalert.info.

CitLearn and our email systems do not require use of Lesesne Gateway. CitLearn can be reached at https://citlearn.blackboard.com/ . Faculty and staff can always access their email at https://login.microsoftonline.com  and students can access their e-mail at http://webmail.citadel.edu/.

Overnight outages resolved

Multiple systems experienced an outage between 5 PM and 4 AM last night. The problem has been resolved and systems are operating normally. Please report any issues to the ITS help center, thank you.

Two System Outages: Lesesne Gateway, Banner, Cadet systems, Operational Data Store, Enterprise Data Warehouse and Cognos

Systems Outages: Lesesne Gateway, Banner, and Cadet systems: 8:00pm – 9:00pm Thursday, February 19 . . . Operational Data Store, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Cognos: 9:00pm – 10:00pm Thursday, February 19 . . . Between 8:00pm and 9:00 pm on Thursday, February 19th, upgrades which provide both security and general enhancements for Oracle Database servers which house Lesesne Gateway, Banner, and Cadet systems will be installed. . . . Lesesne Gateway, Banner INB, BannerWeb (Student, Faculty, Employee, and Finance self-service), Banner Communications Management, the Banner INB portion of Banner Document Management, and cadet systems (absences, merit-demerit, tours, confinements, leave, sign-in sign-out, special leave, and cadet record brief) will be unavailable during this time. While down, Lesesne Gateway will redirect to http://www.bulldogalert.info . The excused absence interface will run later than the normal 8:00pm. If you are responsible for adjudicating absences, you should wait until after 10:00pm to be certain that processing has been completed. . . . The Citadel's NetApp storage unavailable

Lesesnegateway unavailable - Saturday, 2/14

The Citadel’s Lesesne Gateway portal will be down for critical maintenance this Saturday, 2/14 from 2am-4am. During this time, Lesesne Gateway will not be accessible to users. We apologize for any inconvenience. Posted 2/10/15.
