David Shingler Spell Honor Graduates

First Honor Graduate
Larry M. Poole II

Cadet Captain Larry McArthur Poole, a business administration major, has an impressive academic record. His many honors include receiving Gold Stars and being named on the Dean's List every semester, as well as being named on the President's List and the Commandant's List. He is the recipient of The Citadel Scholars Scholarship and the Class of 1919 Scholarship.

Cadet Poole's extracurricular involvement is as impressive as his academic achievement. In addition to serving as the Hotel Company Commander, he is the Hotel Company representative on the Honor Court, President of The Citadel's Round Table Society, Vice Chair of The Citadel delegation of South Carolina Student Legislature and an active member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi Hispanic Honor Society and Beta Gamma Sigma National Business Honorary Society.
He plans to live and work in the Charleston area.

Second Honor Graduate
Nicholas Medica II

Nicholas Medica II is the Second Honor Graduate of the Class of 2006. A Business Administration major with a concentration in Accounting, Cadet Medica has compiled a stellar academic record while at The Citadel. He has earned Gold Stars and been named to the Dean's List every semester. He is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and Beta Gamma Sigma, National Business Honorary Society.

The Business Administration faculty chose Cadet Medica as the winner of this year's Wall Street Journal Award, presented annually to the School of Business Administration's most outstanding graduating senior.

Cadet Medica excelled outside the classroom as well. While at The Citadel, he completed two Ironman triathlons and was a member of the varsity tennis team. Cadet Medica embraced the spirit of the student athlete and was named an International Tennis Association Academic-All American.

After graduation, Cadet Medica plans on returning to Atlanta to work for Suntrust Robinson Humphrey, a middle market investment bank.
