Graduation ticket information
It is anticipated that there will be increased interest and awareness of this year’s Corps of Cadets' commencement ceremonies featuring former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani as the speaker.
Tickets are not required to attend the College of Graduate and Professional Studies commencement at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6, in McAlister Field House. Graduates also are not limited in the number of guests they can invite.

The South Carolina Corps of Cadets commencement on May 5, 2007 is open to:
- Guests of cadets
- Invited VIPs
All guests, including small children and Citadel employees, must have a ticket to enter McAlister Field House. Commencement seating is assigned.
Commencement is not open to the general public. However, commencement will be broadcast on the Web and will be archived on The Citadel web site for viewing afterward. Details will be announced later.
How to get tickets
Cadets and their guests
Cadet Activities will distribute tickets to seniors - cadets, MECEPs and ECPs – beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, April 16. Cadet Activities will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays for ticket distribution to seniors. Each senior will receive 10 tickets. Requests for extra tickets can be submitted to Ruthie Ward (953-5111 or email@example.com) in Room 217 of Mark Clark Hall after spring break. Extra tickets, if available, will be distributed graduation week.
Requests for wheelchair and handicapped seating and extra cadet tickets can be submitted to Ruthie Ward (953-5111 or firstname.lastname@example.org) in Room 217 of Mark Clark Hall.
Faculty and Staff
All questions about commencement tickets for use by faculty and staff should be directed to Tamara Bolding (953-5302 or email@example.com) in the Provost’s Office.
Faculty and staff will be notified in mid April via announcements in Phoebe when tickets are available and how to submit requests.
Faculty and staff are limited to two tickets per person and are not be permitted to request tickets for cadets or cadets’ guests. Faculty that will march in the commencement procession do not need a ticket but should notify their department head of intent to participate in commencement.
Tickets requests are not a guarantee that faculty and staff will receive tickets to commencement. A limited number of tickets is available and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Only requests sent via email will be considered.
Seating will be handled by the Protocol Office.
