Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
The Citadel has teamed up with Arts for Fitness and the college's instructor for RPED 155, Beginning Jijitsu, to provide opportunity for cadets to extend their training beyond the classroom.
Goals: Those training at Arts for Fitness will practice and study the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Who: This opportunity for extended training is available to currently enrolled cadets who are academically, conduct and physically proficient. This activity has a rolling admission: cadets may submit their Player Packet at any time during the school year.
When: Training days and times are TBA. Special Orders will be routinely updated at Noon on Mondays. To secure a spot on Special Orders, cadets must turn-in their Player Parequired paperwork ten (10) days before the first training session.
Where: Arts for Fitness, 3545 Mary Ader Ave., Charleston, South Carolina 29414.
Prerequisites: Cadets must be academically, conduct and physically proficient. A jiu jitsu gi is required and can be purchased online or in the Citadel Bookstore.
Cost: Participants are responsible for instructional and gym costs for training at Arts for Fitness ($50 per month). Participants are responsible for transportation to and from Arts for Fitness.
Other Requirements: Participants must complete a PLAYER PACKET. Packet must be completed and returned to the Extramural Office, Deas Hall 202.
